Strong communities are built through connection, collaboration and a shared commitment to looking out for one another.<\/strong><\/p>\n At Edgemont Flats, Leston Holdings is working alongside residents, the Edgemont Community League and local partners to create a safer, more connected and welcoming neighbourhood.<\/p>\n Through the Community Animator Program at Edgemont Flats, residents have opportunities to connect through a book club, Little Library, community garden, Reuse Room, game nights and seasonal celebrations.<\/p>\n More than just social activities, these initiatives help build friendships, foster a sense of belonging and create a community where neighbours look out for one another.<\/p>\n Community safety is a shared priority at Edgemont Flats.<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Resident Safety Committee brings together residents, Leston team members, the Community Animator and the City of Edmonton’s Neighbourhood Empowerment Team (NET) to address concerns and develop practical solutions that support a safer living environment. Edgemont Flats is also proud to be certified under the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program, reinforcing our commitment to resident safety and community well-being.<\/p>\n Leston also collaborates with the Edmonton Police Service through initiatives such as Agent Status and the PANDA Project, while working toward the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program. Additional safety measures include live two-way video monitoring and overnight security coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. While these initiatives play an important role, we believe that lasting community safety begins with connection.<\/p>\n Everyone has a role to play in building a stronger neighbourhood.
